Rombo capsules contains Carica papaya and Tinospora cordifolia.
Carica papaya is a fruit which is naturally occurring and commonly known as papaya. It is usually eaten raw without seeds and skin of the fruit. The nutritive value of the friut / 100gm is 43 calories and it is also a good source of vitamin C and also contains small amount of folate.
Tinospora cordifolia is also called as heart shaped moonseed or giloy which is also called as guduchi. It is a herbaceous vine. It is mainly beneficial in dengue, diabetes and leprosy.

The capsule is a combination of carica papaya and tinospora cordifolia. Carica papaya is a rich source of biochemical constituents which stimulates the bone marrow to increase the platelet numbers. It also increase the platelet number by increasing the ALOX_12 & PTAFR gene expression by 15 and 13.24 folds. Tinospora mainly causes immuno modulatory action which is achieved by WBC count.
The pharmacological action is produced by the combination in three ways
- Bone marrow stimulator
This three combination of pharmacological action causes increase in the number of platelet and conditions associated with it.
- The drug combination is contraindicated in those patient with hypersensitivity to any of the ingredient.
- The drug is cautiously used in pregnant patient as carica papaya is abortifacient.
- In lactating mother.
