Each box contain 20 Blister strips of 10 tablets.
Thypred – 4 tablet contains methyprednisolone. It is a synthetic glucocorticosteroid or corticosteroid drug which is useful in preventing the release of inflammatory causing substances in the body. It is mainly used for the treatment of the inflammatory conditions such as psoriasis, ulcerative colitis, allergic disorder and arthritis etc.

Methyprednisolone produces its pharmacological action by interfering with the mediators of factors responsible for inflammatory response. It also causes suppression of humoral immune responses. It also produces its effects by controlling the synthesis of potent mediators of inflammation such as leukotrienes and prostaglandins.
The drug is taken orally with oral bioavailability of 80-90%.
The drug after oral administration is metabolized by liver enzymes. About 78% of the drug is bound to protein. To attain half life the drug takes 1-3hrs.
The drug after distribution is mainly excreted through urine.

- Drug should not be continued with patient with alcoholic.
